Massage is an accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs and has proven beneficial to many chronic conditions such as low back pain, arthritis, and bursitis. Massage helps relieve the stress and tension of everyday living.
Massage provides relief to people from all walks of life - the weekend or competitive athlete, the home gardener, the overstressed executive struggling to keep pace in today's economy. Secretaries, laborers, waitresses - anyone can feel a need for massage at some point in time. The older population, as well, will benefit from massage, as it can enhance flexibility and circulation.
The services of a bodywork professional may be covered by health insurance when prescribed by a chiropractor or osteopath. Therapies provided as part of a prescribed treatment by a physician or registered physical therapist are often covered.

Contest Rules
1. Entrants must be over 18 years of age.
2. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Drawings for massages are held at the end of each month and the winner is notified via e-mail and phone within 5 business days of the drawing. Winners have 5 business days after notification to contact the school to provide mailing information. Unclaimed, lost, or unused gift certificates will not be reissued.
3. Gift certificate for the winner must be redeemed within 2 months from issuance.
4. Only one entry per day, per person will be accepted.
5. Massage will not be given to clients who are pregnant or have medical conditions that are deemed contraindicated for massage.
6. Winner will receive a $30 gift certificate for a student massage by mail. The gift certificate is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Our program is designed to provide the student with the tools necessary to become a professional Massage Therapist.
First, basic massage techniques are taught and expanded upon. The techniques of neuromuscular therapy and the basics of energy work are presented.
The various techniques are taught in isolation for the student to develop mastery of the core curriculum.
