Now that winter is over, so is our soup menu. Try our Waikiki Walnut Salad, our fresh made Honey Cashew Chicken Salad and Classic Tuna Salad. We also have fresh baked bagels, muffins and croissants for your breakfast on the go.

At Tradewinds, we believe that what you get out of something equals what you put into it. That's why we start with the best ingredients we can find, add our care and effort, then take the time to make sure you get what you really want, the way you want it. Whether it's our ice cream that's made right here in the store, our organic fair trade coffee and espresso, or any of our other treats, we think you'll agree; it's the best around.

Cafe Campesino is our coffee of choice for a few reasons; their commitment to fair trade, their personal relationship with the organic-certified farmers who ensure a shade grown product, and the unbelievably great tasting coffee which is the end result.

The fact that there are no pesticides or chemicals used in the growing process makes for a fantastic cup of coffee or as Cafe Campesino says great coffee with conscience. Fair trade eliminates all the middlemen passing on more profits for the farmers so that they can earn a living wage.

Cafe Campesino is a founding member of Cooperative Coffees, a fair trade coffee importing cooperative. Countries that they currently work with are Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, East Timor, Sumatra and Ethiopia. The best part is, we place our order, the beans are roasted that day and shipped right out to us. So our coffee is always fresh roasted and there is no better way to drink it.

Debbie and Mat moved from Los Angeles to Savannah, Georgia in May of 2005. Mat, originally from Virginia Beach and Debbie, originally from New Jersey, wanted to settle down closer to family and escape the hustle and bustle of LA. We chose Savannah because of the warm weather, proximity to the beach, gracious nature of the people, and the historical significance of the city. Before opening Tradewinds, Deb was in restaurant management/ event sales and Mat was a yacht captain for a private family. But the ice cream was calling.
Tradewinds opened October 1, 2005 and it's been a whirlwind ever since. Our goal with Tradewinds is to create a place and a feeling that hopefully becomes a significant part of our community. The idea of the aloha spirit and ohana (extended family that cares for each other) is behind what we are trying to do. Everyone is welcome, everyone is appreciated, and if we all just look out for each other a little bit, we can make a big difference. So come visit us and join the Tradewinds ohana. And remember, whether you're 5 or 50, it's o.k. to get chocolate all over your face. We've got plenty of napkins.
